Description
This intensive Text/Workbook offers ESL Students opportunities to practice, hearing and pronouncing conversational English. Each lesson opens with a choice of four “Student-centered warm-ups” in which a student prepares and presents (after guidance and consultation with the teacher) a brief lesson on a spoken structure, phrasal verb, idiom, or cultural tip related to the chapter’s content. Then comes a short reading introducing a stimulating real-life dilemma, using every current language. Following this are provocative questions and several types of creative listening: dialogs, pronunciation, speaking, listening and language-building activities.
